Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Lewis Hussey, who runs K0mplexity from the Netherlands. By creating an account you agree to them and to the privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use K0mplexity.

Testing

K0mplexity is still being tested. Features can change or disappear, things can break, and accounts and data on the server may be reset during testing. Please keep this in mind and send any problems you find to support@k0mplexity.com.

Who can use K0mplexity

• You must be 18 or older.
• You may only have one account, and it must be your own.
• You can't use K0mplexity if you were banned before, or if the law where you live doesn't allow it.

Your account

You sign in with a passkey stored on your phone and in your iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager. Keep your phone and these accounts secure, because anyone who can use your passkey can use your account. Your username must not pretend to be someone else or be offensive.

No tolerance for abuse

K0mplexity has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You must not use it to:

• Harass, bully, threaten, stalk or intimidate anyone.
• Post or send hateful content, or content that attacks people for who they are.
• Share sexual content involving anyone under 18. We report this to the authorities.
• Share intimate images of anyone without their consent.
• Pretend to be someone else, or use photos of other people as your own.
• Send spam, run scams, ask for money or advertise.
• Share illegal content or encourage violence or self-harm.
• Try to find out where someone is, get around a block or ban, or break or misuse the app or its server.

Reporting, blocking and moderation

You can block anyone, and report anyone from their profile or your chat with them. Moderators review reports and can ban accounts that break these terms, without warning when the situation calls for it. A banned account can no longer use K0mplexity. Because messages are end-to-end encrypted, moderators can only read the texts you choose to attach to a report.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you post and send. You give us permission to store and show your public profile to other users and to deliver your encrypted messages, only as far as needed to run K0mplexity. You are responsible for what you share and must have the right to share it.

Meeting people

We don't run background checks and can't vouch for anyone you meet through K0mplexity. Take care when meeting someone in person: meet in a public place and tell a friend where you are going. Interactions with other users are your own responsibility.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or end your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it or if we stop running K0mplexity.

To protect your privacy, we delete accounts that haven't been used for 12 months, along with all of their data on the server. If notifications are on, you get a reminder 30 days before.

Liability

K0mplexity is provided as it is, without any guarantee that it will always work or be free of errors. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage, lost data or the behavior of other users. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence, or takes away your rights as a consumer.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and for important changes we will let you know in the app. If you keep using K0mplexity after a change, the new terms apply.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless the law of the country you live in gives you the right to go to a court there.
